    Sigma, Global Nursing Excellence, recognizes that nurses who are engaged in research and/ or the application of evidence into practice (EBP/ QI projects) shape the future of the profession. All Sigma Global Nursing Excellence DAaL Chapter members and nursing students (undergraduate and graduate) from the DAaL Chapter schools of Nursing are invited to present their posters at the Delta Alpha At-Large Chapter Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 11 , 2026, 1 1:00-2:00 pm at the Holly Auditorium located on the campus of UT Health – San Antonio.   • Research/EBP/QI Small Grants

    Sigma supports undergraduate and graduate nursing students, advanced practice nurses, nurse faculty, and nurse leaders who wish to conduct research, evidence-based practice projects, or quality improvement projects that advance the scientific foundation for nursing practice. The local Delta Alpha at-Large (DAaL) chapter is proud to once again support our fellow nurses by offering these small research grants to advance scholarship in nursing.   • Haven for Hope Donation Drive

    We are collecting new socks and underwear for the Haven for Hope homeless shelter. They are especially in need of the larger sizes for both men and women. Thicker athletic socks are preferred. Women also need sports bras. You can drop off your donations with any of our Community Service Committee members: Genivy Gomez, Marta Vives, Monica Ramirez and Mary Garner. You can also bring them with you to the Leadership Lectures conference on 28 Feb. Donations will be accepted through the month of March.
